Slide drive problem

Hi guys, 2014 Ventana 4037
On the full wall slide, rear motor is turning, torque bushing spinning, but drive shaft not rotating ?
Also see a brass colored stud on right side of motor housing that is spinning when motor engaged.
Could this be something with Torque bushing, or deeper problems ?

Thanks

Sounds like the trans torque bushing is loose. Kind of odd as their very difficult to break loose.

Kind of my thought too

What is procedure to tighten ? I do have crows foot wrench. Confused as to left or right hand thread postings. To tighten do I want to go clockwise or counterclockwise?
Do I need a pipe wrench on the outside collar or the driveshaft while tightening ?

Thanks

I'll be honest, I carry the tools, but have never had to adjust one. If yours is really that loose, I would put a wrench on it and see which way it moves more easily, to determine direction. Here are a couple of posts about it.

Well, I put the wrench on the torque bushing, and it was loose
Thank goodness I had picked up that claw foot wrench a couple of years ago
Tightened the heck out of it ( my torque wrench only goes to 80 ft lbs ), so used a big socket bar
Tried it out - things running smoothly again
Thanks for you help

Glad you got it fixed. I carry a 1.5" wrench and crows foot. Knock on wood, haven't needed it so far. On my 2019, I only have the transtorque bushing on the bedroom motor.

If your FWS is flush and reveals both ends are equal your OK, if not you have to adjust the software explained here for the Newmar Slide System. KIB DUEL MOTOR CONTROL

The torque should be 150 ft. lbs. The fact that it came lose would indicate that it wasn't torque enough.
