Slide operation question

2001 MA 40' DP. I want to halfway retract my bedroom slide to work behind the interior façade. All the way in or all the way out and I can't reach what I want to. Will bad things happen if I interrupt the slide cycle?

Nothing bad will happen. When the slide gets to where you want to stop it push the button and the slide will stop. When you push the button again the slide will reverse direction.
