My slide out stops after it has moved about 1 inch. If I give it a push at the same time as hitting the button after about 3 inches it will go all the way.

What did the shop do?
The age of your coach the motor may need a small adjustment of the pot on control board plus if shop did any electrical work you may want to check your grounds to chassis frame for batteries, fuse panels, even the motor wiring which may be exposed to road salts or water when driving, the motor maybe behind your LP tank exposed to weather.
