Slide roller replacement

I have a '03 DSDP and the front slide, the large one behind the driver's seat, has the front roller leave a much heavier mark on the carpet than the other two when it closes. It almost plows into the carpet instead of rolling over the carpet.

It is hard to even see the roller to see if it is the culprit. Is there a method to check the status of this roller? If it is the one causing the problem, is it a DIY job to replace the roller? I know that I will have to contact Newmar to find the proper roller if it needs replacement.

Any suggestions on how to access this roller and replace it if needed?

Ed, the roller maybe off its bracket mounting and needs a nut attached.
Here is a thread on how to lift the slide with help and using 2x4's to get the space required.
In General slide info on page 4 they show how to lift if replacing a rug but with help you should be able to get the blocks under slide with it out about 1/2 way.
Make sure you get a long 2x4 under the whole slide floor and not just the edge of slide floor.
While we are at it here's one for rear slide also.
