You all might want to keep an eye on your new coaches A&E slide toppers. When we did our factory PDI had one that was loose so was to be fixed, but when we got on the road(Florida rain) discovered still loose.

Today my son(used to work for an RV dealer) and I found three of the four aluminum adjustment bracket screws had been broken off and put back on-don't know if it was done during assembly at Newmar or during PDI. Probably during manufacturing as they are using torque wrenches.

installers are still pulling the same old trick..twisting off mounting screws and glueing the headof the screws back on so you wont notice. my 1996 was picked up in indiana and driven to san bernardino, ca. started to replace the torn awning and found half of the mounting screws glued on. had to drill out broken screws so i could replace the slide awning. it came from the factory with a hole in it.

Rather than star another topic: Driving today and a body panel almost fell off, luckily had stopped to check things out and found two more screw heads on a rear driver side body panel broken(drilled out the screws and put new ones in-sure is nice having a garage full of parts and tools, but did not expect to have to use them this often.)

Looks like the factory needs to check out their torgue guns(not the same person doing body panels as slideouts)!
