Slide Topper Replacement Time

Time has come to replace the slide toppers on my 2013 DS 4318, they are getting old and deteriorated.

I have watched several YouTube videos and it seems like a bit of work but doable assuming you aren't afraid of heights.

I found fabric at Amazon, which is enough to do the FWS and the bedroom slide. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSM26L0...lig_pi_dp&th=1

Any insider suggestions? I would love to hear from someone who has done this. If there is better fabric available other than the Amazon product please suggest.

We have found that by every 2 years putting 303 protectant on the slide out toppers really extends the life of them. Had a Essex for 14 years never garaged that the toppers were still not in need of replacement. Added to that it stops water from leaking thru the fabric so you don't get a lot of water on top of slide out that ends up getting into your coach when bring slide in.

Google tough top awnings. They have videos on there site. They will make your toppers based on your measurements. Not hard to install and don't be cheap, order their locking filter wrench, your life will be easier and won't find it locally at any price. I learned the hard way on my first replacement. The next two were easy. Also, don't wait for your existing topper to fail as you could end up with a wet floor and wonder where the water is coming from.
