Slide topper trouble

Having trouble with the slide topper on my large slide. When retracting the slide, the hard cover portion gets stuck between the topper roll and the gutter, instead of wrapping around the roller when in the "stored" position. During our outing two weeks ago where we experienced some high, gusty winds. After words was the first time I noticed the topper not retracting correctly.

I am not sure if this is due to the topper not having enough tension or maybe being stretched out some causing it to droop some thus causing the hard cover to get caught when retracting? If so, how do I adjust (increase) tension of the topper?

I looked at all of the hardware and, as compared to the slide topper on the bedroom slide, all appears to be in good order.

First time I came up with no responses on this forum. Guess I will put this on a list for the dealer to look at when I take it in for service. Gotta have the slide motor/lock-tite service bulletin done and it appears I have a bent slide motor bracket.

As it turns out, I was in my coach today which I had just had parked for 4 days and discovered a similar issue. I have a 2015 Dutch Star 4369 and found that rain water was leaking in just behind the driver where the retracted slide meets the wall. It was a pretty fair amount of water, too. I stood up on top of the driver's chair and saw that the slide topper had actually come in with the slide under the seal. Opening the slide until the slide topper was all the way out and then retracting the slide again fixed it because it rolled up like it was supposed to.

I'm thinking that the tension needs to be increased. It sags and catches a lot of rain water.

If you find a solution, please let me know!

Slider torsion

Had the same problem on my 2015 Baystar, took it to factory authorized service center, couple times trying to get it fixed. Still had problem. Every time I closed slider had to use ladder to help guide metal weather guard over roller.(pain in the ass). Posted a couple months ago on IRV2, found out how to add tension, but was scared off of completing myself due to extreme danger to self. Took RV to a trusted RV repair guy, he wanted to replace torsion spring mechanisms but none were available. He adjusted the tension on the existing torsion mechanisms, problem solved.
