Slideout Clunk

On my 2006 KSCA, the living room slideout makes a pronounced "clunk" at the moment it is fully extended. I think maybe it's getting louder but I'm not sure. I've looked over the components to see if there is anything that I can spot that might be causing it but everything looks OK. Is anyone/everyone else hearing a similar noise? Bob

I have the manual locking bars and I'm embarrassed to say that I never lock them. The sound doesn't appear to be coming from the bars although my wife says I need the miracle ear.

The bars will clank when recessing into the wall slot at times.
You can tighten up the locking latch by removing bar and give a sharp blow to the knuckle but not much it will tighten the ball bearing in the knuckle and cut down on noise.
Also while wife operates the slide observe while under slide and make sure no metal plates on the ramp are loose causing the noise.
At time screws or what ever they used to attach metal ramp can work loose.
The rollers should be on their brackets also.

sounds like it could be the adjustable stop rods hitting in the slots which is no big deal

X2. My slides have a manual control, I use the "clunk" as a trigger to release the button to stop extending the slide. It is especially loud on the BR slide.

You will see the stop rods and they will drop in their slots also.
As long as their stop brackets are still welded to the slide frame things should be OK.

I'm getting some great advice...thanks. We had a lot of rain yesterday here in north Florida. As soon as it dries up a little I'll check each of these items.
