Slideouts disabled when very unlevel???

We had a situation yesterday while putting in the slides that I have not experienced nor read about here. The wife put in 3 of the 4 slides while the coach was in the jacks and level. She got interrupted before putting in the fourth. She left and I came out. I put the jacks down and then attempted to put in the fourth slide. NO GO. I tried to extend all three of the slides that were in and none would move, no motor, no movement period. I checked for blown fuses and found none. Since the location was very unlevel (although not so bad that the coach hadn't auto leveled successfully earlier) I decided to move the coach about 40 feet forward with the one slide extended to see if the unlevel ground was the cause. Sure enough the slide now retracted and all four slides worked. They have been extended twice and retracted once since then with no problems.
I guess I learned jet another something. OR DID the slides just start working?

Ted

By chance did you disengage the parking brake during your tear down process? On our previous class C it had to be engaged to put the slides in or out.

When on unleveled ground never use AUTO, level coach manually so as not to twist the chassis frame and bind one of your slides.
Here is what can happen with coach unleveled even with a small LR SLIDE.
In my signature below are links to many others for info for your Newmar.

There is no designed in disabling for the slides with excess slope. Perhaps your ignition switch was on to store the levelers?
By the way, the HWH levelers with the electronic control panel will work in pairs, whether they are in manual or automatic mode. It is done to minimize twisting the chassis.

ANDYH, I bet you are correct on the ignition switch being on ACC to do the auto store. thanks, Ted
