I'm having an issue that has just surfaced the last few times I've attempted to air up. The right gauge which I believe is related to the air bags is slow to fill. It will get to about 65-70 psi and stall, while the other air gauge goes to 120 as it has always done.. Fast idle (1200 rpm) doesn't help much, but if I raise the idle to 1500 rpm, the tank fills quickly.

Obviously, this is related to the one tank, but this is not something I'm knowledgeable about. No leaks can be heard and once full, the tank acts normally.

Anyone have a similar issue?

I remember on my old coach that I had the dryer replaced and the air up time was much faster. Is that a possibility?

Thanks....Replaced the air dryer a few months back. I swore I would buy a new coach before having to replace the thing again. The issue appeared awhile after the replacement, but the other tank fills normally.

Is your suspension system losing all of its pressure and dropping ?

The 70 psi point is when the protection valves open to supply air pressure to things like suspension, door seals and air horns. Anything below that psi, the valves stay closed to reserve the air for the brakes.

Don't know your rig, but if you have a seperate air tank, for storing suspension air, it may have recently developed a leak in its plumbing. That would explain the delay in building up the main tank.

I have had this happen before and it turned out to be the one way check valve on the tank. Changed it out and fixed the problem.

When I used to drive a big rig I had that problem, and it turned out to be the check valve on the tank as someone stated already. May not be your problem tough, and it may be related to the air dryer.

Don, I read your post about the air dryer filter replacement and I went to look at mine and your right it is a bear to replace.

Fortunately on the 2017 it is the Wabco system saver 1200 so it is a spin on type filter, still hard to get to.

I certainly don't know how the access is, but is it possible to relocate the air dryer to make maintenance easier? Ie: a one time PITA investment. Mine is easy access, but relocating it would also be relatively easy. Two air lines, one electric line. All have slack. But that's mine.

Still want the 40' Mountain Air, but will most likely be the Dutch Star if I change. I'm getting old.....I don't know if I can buy another coach and do all the mods all over again.
