Small keyed compartment?
I believe that certain compartments can be used for anything that will fit, but on our Newmar 4369, there is a small keyed compartment on the off door side just under the rear end of the full wall slide. I’m curious what the intent of that compartment was and what most store in there if anything.
The compartment has drain holes and the door is about 6 x 8 inches (haven’t measured exactly). Just curious.

That’s what I thought but my daughter laughed and said it’s to small. Appreciate the advice as that’s what I’ll use it for.

Most 3" hoses will fit but the ends won't unless they can be removed.

Wasted space! Any good quality sewer hose with good ends on will not go in the tube. Great ideas, terrible execution. Typical if people who build RVs but have never spent a night in one.

I use this space for storing my wheel chocks and collapsible black water tank rinse hose.

Maybe ours is different.
I can store a 15 foot Rhino hose with bayonet fittings, 10 foot Rhino hose with bayonet fittings, and the clear elbow in ours. -Paul

Agree I fit a 10’ a 15’ and an assortment of elbows and straight clear sections and the screw on elbow into the campsite’s drain in there without any problem.
The compartment on the tag axle coaches holds a good amount of stuff. Those of us with older coaches it was just an unlocked latch on the compartment.

My 2015 will not allow the ends to go into that tube. If it does for you then they increased the width of the storage tube to at least 4 1/2 inches in order to clear those ends.

Newmar changed the design over the years. My 2014 DS was a smaller door with a tube inside that angled down behind the dual wheels. The hose ends didn't fit.
On my 2019 DS, they made the door twice as large and just created a large space between the top of the duals and the tag. It had some openings in it to allow the hose to get air. Since I have a SaniCon, I didn't use it for a sewer hose.
The cavity is quite large. I reached in and sealed the openings with Gorilla tape. I now store a 50' collapsing hose, a spare SaniCon hose with sheath, a soap brush head for washing the coach and some other items. It's very voluminous.
