Smartwheel control module repairs

I had researched this before and found my answers here on IRV2 forums.
The posts varied from wipers staying on, headlights staying on, cruise issues etc. A forum member who was a retired military electronics wizard posted that he was able to repair the smartwheel module himself as it was his area of expertise. If any forum members could direct me to this member it would be greatly appreciated. I would like to PM him with a couple of questions. I believe I read the answers on the Alpine owners forum but cannot find this members' replies. He talked about repairing a headlight circuit in the contol module.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve - we too had numerous issues with our smartwheel. Finally, after many module replacements, unplug/replug connectors, the techs with Spartans help found it was a loose ground wire. Where specifically the loose ground was I do not know, but it seems to have fixed the problem.

Good Luck.

Mark

Thanks for the replies. I have 5 smartwheel control modules each one with a separate problem. My brother works for Analog Devices in Ma and he said he would try to repair them for me. I have the PDFs printed out for troubleshooting and the pin/plug diagram. An internal wiring schematic would be helpful. I emailed VIP with a request for the internal schematic but got no reply. It's probably not something they would give out. I did find the thread with the repairs to the control module but it wasn't for the Smartwheel controller.
If all else fails. I will order a new module from VIP.
