Sofa/Euro-Booth Dinette problem

We are enjoying exploring our new 4553 MA and have appreciated the quick and helpful responses from the group. Our coach has the Sofa/Euro-Booth Dinette. We love the combination and are glad to have the dinette rather than the 2 chairs. However, the seat cushions are to soft. When seated, my chin is almost on the table (not really, but close). We have resorted to sitting on some of the bed pillows (I think they gave us 7 ). Does anyone have a solution or suggestion?

Welcome to iRV2.

If the seat cushions have a zippered cover, you should be able to take the foam out and find a high density replacement.

That's my wife's chief complaint, the table height. I will look at the firmness of the foam.. Thanks for the idea. My principal complaint is the drawers bind with the rug when closing. This is very frustrating.

We have same issue with our 2016 canyon star. I think Newmar has used some very poor quality foam in the set and should replace them. E have had unit only two days and you can't sit comfortably in them. Going to see what dealer/Newmar s response is this week.

We had the same carpet issue in our 2014 Ventana. The bench can be shimmed up raising it to prevent it from dragging on the carpet. Had it done during warranty service through my dealer.

Ours has a lift mechanism to adjust the height of the table. By now I would have thought this would be available on the new MAs

Thanks dane63. I will look at shims. I do notice there are bolts into the refrigerator panel. Did you have to adjust this?

My Ventana is a 4037 and I am not sure it was also bolted to the refrigerator panel.
If you remove the drawer entirely it should be an easy operation to loosen the bolts at the floor, slide in a shim and retighten. If it is also bolted or screwed to the refrigerator panel seems like it would be easy to just replace the bolt/screw into the new position on the panel. It works great now even with the drawers fully loaded.
Both drawers were done.

We have a 2016 Dutch Star and the "furniture" couldn't be worse. To say that the seat foam is soft is an understatement, and that's the least of it. You would be hard pressed to find furniture this cheap anywhere. I would have had Newmar fix it at the factory pick up, but the only thing they could do was replace it with more of the same.

One sept forward and two steps back.

We replaced the foam in our dinette seats with the firmest foam I could get from a local upholstery shop. When I first sat on the new seat it felt like a board in comparison to the old foam and I thought we had made a big mistake. However, after sitting at the dinette for more than a couple of minutes, I realized how much more comfortable and supportive it was than the old mushy foam. It was a very good change out.
