Solar LED indicator in dash

I was just wondering if anyone has had to change the LED indicator that is mounted in the dashboard. Ours doesn't lite up anymore. Any idea where one of these may be available to purchase?? Our chassis battery is always charged, so I assume the solar panel on the roof is still working.

I don't see mine on anymore, also. Figuring out the problem is on my to-do list...

Hi Everyone,
The light on the dash is, most likely, a warm fuzzy for the owner. This the way it is on my coach. I did have it replaced, by Newmar. For those with my vintage of coach, the entire assemble must be replaced. Solar panel, connectors, light, etc. The original is no longer made.

Even with the light out the solar panel was still maintaining the chassis batteries.

Thanks Gary. Being ours is a year older than yours I would safely assume our situation would be the same as yours. As I mentioned before it appears the panel is still charging the battery so I guess I'll just forget about the light.

Same here, for years the light has not been on. Oh Well. Since we always go from park to park I never needed it anyway. At home I have a 50amp plug for the RV.

Mine has never worked either, so I thought I would check things out.

Looks like my LED is burned out so looking in to getting a new LED or perhaps even ordering a new dash indicator from Newmar. (They seem to have the solar panel & indicator in stock).

I am getting 16v from the solar panel (It's a small trickle charger), but when I hook it up direct (bypass the nonworking LED & diodes) I am only getting 3v at the batteries. That isn't going to accomplish anything is it?

I have had the light go out on 2 occasions and in both cases it turned out that the solar panel had reached the end of it's life. I have recently replaced the panel and the light has returned to normal. I am in the process of installing a second panel which will assist the coach batteries. Apparently the coach was prewired for the installation, and I have some searching to do to make the connections. I am not sure how much assistance they provide as I have not had issues with my batteries.
