Question Sony TV on Televator keeps powering off with 6 blinking RED lights

My 2015 Sony 48W600 has just started to shut off with 6 red blinking lights and won't come back on until I unplug the power, then it will work foe awhile , but shut off again. I have a TV up front above the windshield and it does work fine. I have all video/audio components running through my Sony 5500 amp and the hdmi from that to the satellite hdmi splitter. Not sure what is going on.

TV is shot per my first link I clicked: http://https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/696244/Red+light+flashes+6+times+and+stops+after+switch+o n

Probably the road vibrations are the actual culprit. Think of it this way, now you get to upgrade to a better tv .

Yea I am surprised it has lasted this long to be honest. When it is working, which it has been until this past week, it has a great picture.

I had the same symptoms with a LG TV and it turned out to be the HDMI board was fried.

If your in the mood, pull it down and take off the back cover. Those boards are easy to replace and can find them all over the internet. I even found one manufactured the same year as the TV. They must have produced a batch of spares. I paid $77 for one similar to yours. Cheap fix IMHO.

You can replace a 48 with a 50, I did. Better quality. Better picture. Larger. No more Sony junk. Bought Samsung. Probably cheaper now.
