Got word today that the unit goes to Chassis Prep. next week. Anyone got a guess on build time after this is complete?

Based on when my coach was built this time last year, you are about 10-14 days from being ready for delivery. Will you be doing a factory pick up, or are you picking up at the dealer?

Picking up at the dealer, if I can swing it, I would like to do the tour while it is being built. It's about a 10 hr drive. Flying @ a quick glance looked pricey.

Congrats on new coach and welcome to the forum and ranks of CS owners. When my coach was built in 2009, it went to chassis build approx. 7/20 and I took delivery at the dealer on 8/9. I did the tour for two days and saw mine built from chassis to roof.....it was an awesome experience. I know you'll enjoy your Canyon Star.

Thanks for the encouragement and the warm welcome. My son is asking how comfy the Hide a Bed is? I think he's planning his first trip with us.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen a fold out couch/bed in any RV I would call comfortable. We have the optional sofa/bed and the mattress is marginal at best. We bought a 4" foam topper however which makes it more useful but storage of it is problematic. Glad I don't have to sleep on it.......love my king bed.
