Sound proofing

Had to cut the plastic cover under the HWH step to stop it from rubbing a hole in the hyd tank and noticed I was looking right at the bottom of the tile on stairs and floor
Thought this would be a great place to do some sound proofing only not finding a product that will work exposed to the elements or that con be mounted overhead and vertical
Anybody ever tackle a job like this??

Funny, I just did mine a couple week ago and it did help with road noise.

Actually the underside of the steps were not really dirty at all so I guess the plastic shield does a pretty good job of keeping the elements out. I used this from Amazon.

I used a layer of Dynamat Extreme topped with Dyna-Hoodliner to cover the inside of the doghouse cover on my gas Class A and it helped with interior noise level considerably.
