Spartan coach history a kept secret?

Is it true if you are the second owner of a Newmar Spartan chassis, that Spartan will not release the maintenance history of this chassis of the original owner to the current legal owner?

It very well may be but the world is computerized now. I bought a used Ford F350 and got all the service records Ford did to it from day one. There were no previous owner data, just the service records. If Ford can do it then I would think Spartan or any other company could do it.

I bought a used Tundra and they simply redacted the original owners name and contact info then printed all 45 service records for us. The bastards.

I am SURE they know about any repairs done under their warranty, and believe they keep track of any service work done in Charlotte, but I doubt they have any way to know about service work done elsewhere.

Getting them to redact any PO info and give you a copy depends on who / how you ask, IMO.

Spartan let me know that there was no recorded service in their system. The dealer informed us that the coach had never been serviced at an authorized Newmar Service Center. We did find out the coach was registered in Iowa and the address was a farm. So we theorized the previous owner is a farmer and serviced his own equipment including the coach. In the coach, we found receipts for filters, air dryer parts, oil, and coolant.

We have been on top of the service and maintenance since we purchased the coach.
