Roger, you are looking at a different event.

The SCIC Homecoming is still on the calendar.

The 2009 homecoming event was listed on the events page until recently. We were planning to attend, so I was checking the page periodically for updated info. Up until it was removed, it mentioned more info would be posted in the spring. I didn't know Spartan had a club until you posted the link. Thanks for the info. Perhaps someone can call to confirm if the event is cancelled.

Sue

Hi,
We just had our fan upgrade completed at Fort Wilderness and I asked the Spartan guys about the event. They seem to think it was canceled due to lack of sign ups. They thought only 100 people
were on the list.
Thanks, Daryl

Re: Cancellation of Spartan Homecoming, June, 2009. Per Gordie Taylor, Director of Motorhome Business Development, Spartan Chassis, Inc., there will be NO Spartan Homecoming in 2009.

Whatever the reason for cancellation of the Homecoming, it is indeed cancelled for 2009.

We attended Spartan Rally/Homecoming for 10 years, and we really had great times. It was a very informative & educational Rally. The Spartan employees, from Management to Hourly Workers, they really made us feel welcome. Nice door prizes, great food, good entertainment, thanks to all the organizers from Spartan. Gordie Taylor,Don Pipes, Andrea, Tim Gearhart (who will be sadly missed), and so many others. Thanks to Spartan, for the memories!!! Judy Yockey, Treasurer, Spartan Chassis International Club of FMCA.

Dear Spartan Chassis International Club Member,

It is with great sadness that Spartan Chassis, Inc. must announce the cancellation of Homecoming 2009.

Based on current economic conditions, which will continue to have a significant impact on the RV market, we will take this time to seek out new and innovative ways to engage with our valued customers and owners.

We would like to stress that our dedication to the Spartan Chassis International Club is unwavering. As a demonstration of our commitment, Spartan will host SCIC Service Week this year, June 2-4, for members of SCIC in good standing. SCIC members that register for the event will receive three free nights of camping at the Eaton County Fairgrounds here in Charlotte. Members will also receive a special discount on service and/or parts for this week only.

An SCIC luncheon/meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd during Service Week. If you would like to attend, you must be an SCIC member. If you are not a member but would like to join, please print and fill out the attached SCIC Membership form (PDF format) and return with the $10 membership fee. Remember, you must be a member of FMCA before joining the Spartan Chassis International Club. To join FMCA go to: www.fmca.com.

Annual dues are $10.00 U.S. per family per calendar year.

Make checks payable to SCI Chapter and mail along with your completed application to:

Dick & Grace Harris

SCIC Membership Liaisons

2117 W Bogey Drive

Mission, TX 78572-8514

Phone: 956-584-8367

Cell: 651-335-0308

Email: sleetmute@earthlink.net

We hope you will understand the need for these changes and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Spartan looks forward to creating new traditions with SCIC members.

Registration for SCIC Service Week will be available online Mid-March at http://www.spartanchassis.com/mh/events.asp

NOTE: From Dick & Grace Harris, SCIC Membership Liaisons

There are approximately 800 members of SCIC who are in arrears on their dues. In these tough and uncertain economic times, we all rely on debtors to pay their bills on time – SCIC is no different. The $10.00 per year is easily paid back by one order from the Spartan Parts Department and free shipping you receive as an SCIC member.

Sincerely,

Spartan Chassis, Inc.
