Splendide 2100 dryer lint trap?

We have a Splendide 2100 combo washer/dryer in our new to us '04 MADP 4016. There seems to be no lint trap for the dryer, is that right? I know about the little clean out behind the lower front panel but that seems to have a different purpose? The manual makes no mention of one. Does this dryer just not have/need a lint trap?

The lint trap was an option that some RV's had (like my Alpine Coach) but Splendide decided it was a fire hazard and stopped offering that option. So you do not have a lint trap on the outlet hose. You do have a filter at the bottom which is to protect the water pump.

Mine has no filter so you have to clean the exhaust duct on a regular basis.. I use one of these, when the dry is running I insert thru the outside flapper and keep turning in while inserting.. when I pull it out there is an amazing amount of lint that comes with it.

+1 HR2004. It is not lint free. Clean the exhaust regularly. Run the clean cycle every so often to avoid clogs. We wash 2x/day and do it every 6 weeks.

As noted, it does not have a lint trap. If you notice a drop
in the amount of air coming out the vent, you should
run the clean cycle, as noted in an earlier post.
Here is the detail on the clean cycle as provided by Splendide:

"Start the unit without clothes and with the dry time off on cycle # 11. When the water stops entering the unit push and hold the start button until all the lights come on then release the button. *NOTE: If the water is not at least half way up the glass repeat this step.
Move the cycle knob to cycle # 2 push the extra rinse button then press the start button once (do not hold) then let it run through that complete cycle.
Do this 3 times then try the dryer"

How does the clean cycle affect what is in the dryer vent outlet? It sounds like it just cleans out anything inside the washer itself.

I really appreciate the information!

Since it is a washer/dryer combo unit there is a
"tub within a tub" design, and lint can build
up within the the space between the two tubs.
The clean cycle softens the accumulated lint in
between the tubs, and rinses it out thru the drain,
as well as blowing some of it out the vent.
Typically the length of the vent outlet line is
extremely short, and without twists and turns
does not trap much lint. You would only do
the "clean cycle" if you notice very little air
blowing out thru the vent, or if you get the error
code indicating that you have insufficient air
flow. Using a lot of fabric softener causes a
greater accumulation of lint within the machine.
