Stairs are half way open

While preparing to take my NADP for its annual oil changes and lubes today, my stairs stopped working. They are stuck almost closed. In a pinch I will be able to drive it as they stick out less than the mirrors, but it will make it hard for my wife to get into the coach tomorrow. While trying to troubleshoot it, I found the breaker that controls it but I don't see how to reset it. I have also looked under the coach at the stairs and can physically move the stairs into the closed position with the amount of lash in the gear motor and arm.
Additionally the lighting panel above the passenger seat remains illuminated, but doesn't respond to my touch anymore and now my 360 cameras are all pink. I have already opened the battery disconnect- counted to 10 - closed it again. No joy.
It seems to be an electrical gremlin, but I'm not sure where to look for the little bugger. Any ideas?
The photos show the step in its current position and the breaker for the entry stairs.

Stairs won't close

Had this exact same problem with my 2020 Dutch Star. I contacted Lippert and talked to their customer service folks. They were fabulous. They wanted pictures of the motor/stair model and a couple of electrical measurements. Me being able to push the stairs closed was the key. There are nylon gears in the gearbox that had stripped, allowing the stairs to come out intermittently but when they closed, they hit the stripped section of gears and stopped. There is a 3 year warranty, they expedited shipment of a new gearbox/motor assembly. It's a simple procedure to fix, 4 bolts, a cotter pin and an electrical connector. Took about 25 min to remove an replace. I'd call them, they are an awesome company to deal with.

First, those 'circuit breakers' are auto resetting. Second. Get a meter and check for power to ground on both sides of the CB. I'd suggest following the troubleshooting procedures from Kwikee

When my steps stopped going in all the way, I figured it was the motor or gears as well. If you pushed on it while it was pulling the steps in, it would go in and hold. But it needed help.

My fix was the controller…

They are flaky devices.

My steps got stuck halfway closed. After checking the breaker and seeing the light below the stairs come on when I opened the dooor I knew there was power to the controlle I unplugged the wiring harness at the controller for a few minutes and the steps retracted and H as worked as usual since then

As previously mentioned, likely nylon gear in the motor.
Simple replacement. Can purchase OE motor for around $ 85. on Amazon
Had same issue on my Ventana this summer.
In the interim, be careful using the steps as they can slide in without warning

All Fixed

Thanks to everyone who posted a reply. The problem was the motor. Lippert customer service and the diagnostic white papers on their site (Thanks for pointing me there, HarryStone) helped me narrow the problem down to the motor and replaced the part under warranty.

I just winterized my NADP the other day and noticed that the steps were not closing all the way. I lubed them good and ran them in and out by opening and closing the door numerous times. Now they are working perfectly. Not sure what the problem was. I had previously disconnected the batteries by turning off the "salesman" switch and the battery disconnect for the chassis batteries.

Maybe the problem was caused by lack of lubrication so the motor felt too much resistance and shut down too early. On the other hand maybe it had something to do with the fact that I had the batteries shut off for a time.

Whatever happened, I lubed the steps and exercised them and now they are working.
