Have an 03 KS3702DP. On our 3rd inside step actuator 1st 2 were under warranty. This one was $185.00 out of pocket. Has anyone else had a problem?

Welcome Dean to the Newmar forum and irv2.
There was problems with mounting of motor position as this thread also shows with your same problem.
Not sure what Newmar did about it because it looks like not everyone had the problem.
Some other members may chime in with that answer thanks for joining in sorry can't be of more help.

Hi Dean,
I am assuming you can still hear the motor running.
I had the same problem on my dutchstar.I found the screws(2ea)had pulled from their threads.(weak design)There are 3 screws total, but only the 2 longest had pulled. This allows the cap assy. to raise just enough so drive gears won't engage. I drilled through cap and on thru old threads.Just large enough to install 2 ea. 6/32 screws & nuts. You may have to grind one side of nut to allow clearance fit.
