Does anyone know how to get the surround sound to work with the TV? The info I received with the Sony duel deck does not show how to do this.

Good luck with the new coach. Newer rigs use different gear for surround sound, but yours should have a TV setting just like the settings for vcr,dvd, satallite etc. Is your main unit a receiver? Does it bring in am and fm radio? Look for TV setting which should let tv audio play thru surround system. On some systems you can lower volume on tv set and just use surround speakers, you have to experiment if the manual does'nt cover this.

We played with one on the lot. To use surround sound with a TV broadcast you have to use the TV tuner in the VCR. There was also a strange combination of switch settings to get it to work.

I set the receiver to TV and Pro Logic then turn the volume knob on the receiver until it comes out the surround speakers. Once the sound is coming from the surround speakers I use the TV to raise or lower the volume.
