Stop Engine!

Started up the DSDP today and immediately got a stop engine indication. The engine code is

SPN 91 FMI 3 OC 1

This has something to do with the gas pedal, acceleration sensor, or the wire in between. Apparently, the coach is totally fly-by-wire.

Has anyone else seen this? Any tips?

PS: if you plan to break down unexpectedly, may I humbly suggest you don't do it on Labor Day

What is the 3 or 4 digit Spartan code? I have a code listing on the Spartan app.

I had this happen to me on the road with a new american revolution with 1800 miles on it, the check engine light came on followed by a stop engine light, there was no throttle reaction to the foot pedal. I was able to roll off the highway into a walmart parking lot. I called freightliner and was told the code was for a bad throttle assembly. They wanted to tow my coach, I asked if there was a part locally and after checking the tech told me there was one 40 miles away, i told the tech that if he could arrange for me to pick it up I would install it, they agreed and my wife drove the toad to get the part. The part was waiting on the counter and paid for, she brought the part back to the coach and I changed it out in 15 minutes, after testing the old throttle assy. with an OHM meter it was clearly bad with no continuity. I started the coach and after 40 miles on the highway the check engine light cleared and has been great since. The whole indecent start to finish took 2 hours and 45 minutes and freightliner reimbursed me for a tank of fuel in the car to run for the part. This incident raised my level of comfort owning a freightliner chassis.

OC means occurrence, so OC 1 means you have had one occurrence.

Freightliner sent an enormous tow truck and towed the RV 140 miles to a facility. Have not heard the verdict yet, but it sounds exactly like that issue described by mrfix.
