Storage

Is everyone happy with outside storage in 4018 Dutch Star ? Doesn't look like much available ?

We have a 18 LA and the answer to more outside storage is shelves. We have added shelves to almost all cabinets along with enclosing the battery cabinet, because we have AGM batteries, and then added a shelve above batteries. There have been many post with pictures on Newmar forum on shelves for outside cabinets.

Because our 2019 4018 has a tag and former coach did not, we lost an entire bay and yes we have less storage than "before." However there are nooks and crannies that can be adapted with shelves for more additional space. However an eye opener has occurred for me. When we knew we were going to sell the old coach, we emptied it completely except for bare essentials (2 knives, two forks etc) and left the rest in "storage" inside our big shop. Having had our new 4018 Dutchstar since March we vowed only to return stuff we actually have a need to USE. Looks like we could have gotten by with a much smaller coach for what we actually NEED to put in those bays! I'm shocked at how much we carried that we really did not use or if we needed it, we could not find it. Overall the storage in our 4018 is working out well to meet our needs.

We were full time for two years. The storage was adequate. Yes, there were times we wished we had more room. If we were to do it over, we would buy the 4018 again.

We ordered one tray for the bay in front of the pegboard. I wouldn't get the through tray, it takes up too much room. The stuff we used all the time went in the tray or the front bin. We did not have the cooler.
