I can't explain this. Can anyone else?
Setup:
- All three A/C's are on. Zone's 1 and 2 are set ABOVE the current temperature, so they're not on. Zone three is set BELOW the current temperature.
- AGS was ENABLED and set to turn on with Temperature (EXT sensor)
- Full 50A service coming into RV. Both legs operable.
What happened:
Zone 3 tried to come on (hourglass showed). It didn't - until the generator turned on. This shouldn't have happened because there was Shore Power.
So I turned AGS OFF. Waited and Zone 3 got the hourglass again. A few seconds later, the light on the generator start button began to blink and the genny turned on. Yes, with AGS OFF.
I was able to repeat this. Turned off generator. Verified incoming shore power. Ensured that AGS was OFF. Zone 3 got the hourglass and the generator started.
As an experiment....
I turned Zone 3 off. Made Zone 2 start, which it did without turning on the generator. Then turned Zone 3 back on and it came on normally (without starting the genny).
So how in the world can the generator come on, obviously to supply power to Zone 3, if 1) there is adequate shore power AND 2) AGS is OFF?
