Stupid Question

I am currently looking for a new coach. I live in Iowa and no dealers seem to have any coaches to speak of. My question is there a possibility that the factory has coaches that a person can look at. It is kinda hard to convince my wife what I think we need when she can't even see one. Thank You

If you take the factory tour you will be able to go on some coaches nearing completion though may not be the floor plan you favor.

At this time of year you may want to consider going to one of the upcoming bigger RV shows. You may not find exactly what you're looking for, but you should be able to get an idea of the different models.

Hi Hawkeye845,
Newmar makes coaches only to order. Every coach coming off the line has an owner (dealer or retail customer). The Tampa, Florida RV Super Show is in mid-January. Go to FRVTA - Florida RV SuperShow and take look. Newmar will have around 40 to 50 coaches on display. That is about a close as you'll get to exactly what you are looking for.

They had a number (not 40-50 though) at the Redmond FMCA show. Still haven't found a DSDP 4375 to look at though. My wife just can't visualize anything, has to see it in person.

Go to Steinbring in Garfield Mn there have lots of coaches.
The only dealer in Iowa will just bad mouth what he doesn't have in stock. Which isn't much as he never stocks anything new. I looked at a used Dutchstar there and it had had dogs in it and was not even cleaned up before showing. The engine compartment was dirty and his excuse was the electric components get wet if they clean the engine.
We went up to Steinbrings and they treat you like they want your business. The owner John is very friendly and took us through every unit we wanted to see from the Vantana to the Mountainaire. Good luck on your search.

Thanks everyone. I will make an attempt to attend the Florida show. By the way, there is a dealer in Iowa that does not sell any class a's but he will tell you that Newmar builds the best. He is located at Walcott

They do not sell new Newmar diesel pushers. That is the only thing I would consider after reading the other RV sites. Unless,of course, if I won the lottery then possibly a Prevost. Still not sure about that either.

Stupid Question

This is a good excuse to go to Florida in the winter

After you see the show in Tampa, drive to Ft Myers Florida and go see
north Trail RV. They advertise themselves as the World's largest Newmar Dealer.
It's only a 2 hour drive from Tampa to Ft Myers.

They have hundreds of Newmars on their lot, and you can go for a test drive too.

This is excellent advise. Allow at least 2 days at the Tampa show and the standard ticket is for 2 days. There are a number of dealers in the Tampa area to visit. Every RVer should visit Lazy Days at least once. Then North Trails in Fort Myers (120 miles from Tampa) is indeed Newmar's largest dealer. There is also a large Camping World and La Mesa in Fort Myers. Great place to be in January. While there I recommend driving through some of the RV Resorts.
