Suddenly lost all Interior 12v Lights and ACs

Yesterday afternoon we suddenly lost all interior 12v lights, all ACs and our rear Silverleaf Monitor Panel. So two of my friends (one an engineer) spent 2 hours researching everything electrical. Starting at the pedestal (because we lost ACs) then to the transfer switch then to the breaker panel then to the Inverter, but everything checked out?? We still had 120v outlets, microwave, frig and dishwasher.

Then we called Silverleaf (Newmar after hours not available) and began a check of their system, which seemed to confound them. Spent nearly an hour on the phone with Edward but he couldn’t figure out what was happening either. Suddenly, my wife got the brilliant idea to do a search on IRV2 and came up with the idea that the Salesman Switch had been disengaged. While still talking to Edward I hit the switch and EVERYTHING CAME ON! Edward was amazed. We did suggest this be added to his checklists.

Somehow I accidentally tripped this switch while exiting the coach. Moral of this story… Check simple things first!!!

AMEN ; because your roof top A/C units are controlled through the same 12 volt thermostat as your furnace , they won't operate .

Somehow the designers of many coaches overlock the possibility of accidental operation of the battery disconnect switch (aka; salesman ). I have to open an overhead cupboard door to access mine .

Yep, start with the simplest solution first. I kinda had a similar thing happen when I went out to do some work on my RV while at home. It was a hot day but I couldn't get the ACs to run despite being plugged in. So I went through my Prep list that I used when getting ready to head out and discovered I had shutdown the salesman switch when we had parked it. I am not sure why I had done this since we are plugged into a 50 amp service but I had. Fortunately I had run through my Prep list before calling anyone so I was saved from that embarrassment.
