Super Excited !!! Picking up our 4369 Soon :-)

We will be picking up our 2016 4369 soon in Houston, TX. It's been a long road but, we are almost there.

We live in Seattle and flew to Houston and purchased this hardly used 2016 Dutch Star 4369 early in February.

We have also purchased a 2017 Buick Enclave located in Tampa that was for sale on this site. It is all set up to flat tow and we will fly to Tampa on April 12th to pick it up and drive it to Houston where we will set it up for towing behind our new coach.

We just sold our house in Seattle and decided to become residents of South Dakota for we will be living full time in our RV and traveling. The plan is to live on our boat in the summer up in the great Pacific NW and then head south in the winter when Seattle's wet and dark winter starts.

I paid the sales tax and licensed both our new vehicles in South Dakota using Americas Mail Box to help me with that process. This saved me over $18,000 in tax and license fee's. I am super happy with how this has worked out :-)

From Houston, we will drive North to South Dakota, get our drivers licenses and become official residents. From there, we will head West to Yellowstone Nation Park on our way back to Seattle. At that point we can also start working on getting new insurance quotes for our vehicles which will also save us $$$ from what we are paying now.

I will update our trip on this tread as we move along on this journey...lots of new things to learn and excitement to have enjoying our new home on 8 wheels.

Wish us luck !!!

Cheers,

Curt

Update on our DS 4369 Purchase

I almost forgot to update our adventure...We did fly down to Tampa first and picked up our 2017 Buick Enclave and then drove it to Katy, TX to pick up our 2016 DS 4369 on a FL Chassis that only had 4700 miles on it.

We got our new coach set up to tow our Buick and drove all the way home up through South Dakota (Where we became legal residents) and West through Yellowstone National park and back to the Pacific NW North of Seattle.

We had a great trip with no problems and are now getting things ready to go full time and will be heading south just after Christmas.

Thanks everyone for your input and help on this forum !!! what a great group :-)

Cheers, Curt
