Surge protector problem

I have a Progressive Industries EMS-PT50C surge protector that I use with my 2018 Ventana 3407. I used it with no problem for 2 weeks in June. Then, 2 weeks ago, we went boon docking and stopped at 2 different campgrounds on our way home. At both places, the surge protector indicated that everything was fine, 120+V on L-1 and L-2, 60 Hz, and error code E0, which means no error. However, the monitor in the coach showed "No Service". Finally we removed the surge protector and plugged directly into the pedestal, and had 50 amp service. When we got home, went through it again and only got power plugged in directly without the surge protector. Since the protector has a lifetime warranty, I filled out a warranty claim. Progressive approved the claim and sent me a new unit. Received it yesterday, plugged it in, same result. Everything on the protector indicates it is functioning properly, but the coach shows "No service" while plugged into the protector. What am I missing?

Take a look at the blades on your coach power cord plug. If they are tarnished, pitted, rough, etc. clean them up. They may not be making proper contact with the receptacle in the PI unit.

Are you waiting long enough for the SP to do it's checks before sending power to the coach? Think it's 90sec or so.

That is a pretty good estimate. Thank all of you for your replies. That was the problem. I did know there was a delay, but I'd forgotten it when I was standing in 105 degree heat wondering why the AC wouldn't kick on.

Good to hear you got it sorted .

Little surprised PI didn't check that before telling you to return the original.
