Tag Axle

Is this normal? when I start my Dutch Star 4018 it always has a warning light that says check your tag axel and the light beeps, after a few minutes idling it stops. Also after I lift my jacks and I have the light that says stored there is 1 yellow light on at the center rear of the diagram of the unit. after I drive away at some point it goes out. Yes I always look under the MH to be sure all jacks are up.

The yellow light is just letting you know your coach is sitting low in the rear. I think once you start moving it will go out.

Is that tag axle warning on the dash display? May be that your coach needs to get to the right air pressure to operate the tag, not sure though.

Yes it is on the dash and goes out after a few minutes but the warning buzzer is loud.

I am having he same issue with my 19 4369. I will be watching to see the responses. I have not found a fix for the tag light warning except time and restarting the engine. Bill

FastLane- This is a chassis related so my question is..
Do you have a Freightliner or a Spartan chassis?

I do not get the warning you mention on my 2017 4369DS.
Just for the record, we are on a Spartan chassis.

I am on a FL and get that light until the air brake psi goes above 65 or so.

Same with mine. Once the air pressure reaches 65 pounds the tag light goes out and the beeping stops. I always walk around my coach and make sure the bags are aired up before I depart.

I don't think it's an issue, I just think it's a warning light letting the driver know they don't have tag axle operation until air pressure builds enough.

Just a thought. At below 65 pounds you should get an alarm. If the pressure continued to drop your breaks would lock up. Am I correct?

Rear brakes only will slow you down but not lock up, that avoids loss of control.
