Tag axle and Pavers

Curious,.....any issues turning on paver brick driveways or pads with the lateral force of the tag for you folks with experience with this?

Thanks,

Paul

Never had a problem or tore up any blocks turning on them. I have been asked to dump pressure before backing in (I have switch in auto dump for reverse) I dump it before pulling out if I think about it.

I dont have pavers but my neighbors have. Most have had issues with the weight of the coach and pavers settling. As a result some have had multiple re-do’s of their driveways. I stayed simple with concrete.

I don't have pavers or actually know, but I lower my tag after I leave my driveway and dump half a block away upon returning. If there's anything looking iffy elsewhere, I just raise it.

Thanks for the feedback. Originally, I laid down about 12" of limerock base, compacted, planning ahead for the load. So far no problems, with and without jacks, however the next rig will be about 75% heavier. I can see where the pavers may want to peel up if not careful.

We have pavers and haven't had issues due to coach weight. We were at one resort where the escort to your site would pull out a hose and hook it to the bib and wet the pavers before allowing you to drive into the site. Helps prevent tire marks on the pavers.

I have pavers in my driveway approach & have never had a problem, although I dump my tag when backing in or pulling out. This takes most of the weight off the tag.

Reference the post- raise my tag- I didn't know there was a power lift tag out there on either the Freightlinner or Spartan chassis?? I thought they both just dumped the air bag pressure?

Happy Trails
