Taillights for 2006 Essex

I read a while back that the taillights for a 06 essex were GM taillights. I was wondering if anyone out there would know the part number or year of the tailights.

Take one off. The part number should be molded inside or on the edge of the light.

Exactly right. Goggle part number. I found some with etrailer.com.

There should be a DOT number embossed on the lens. When you Google it, you should get a response with an aftermarket lens. It looks like they used two on each side, one upside down. If you find the GM part number, look a little deeper as you can usually find plug and play replacements that have built in LED's, versus an old bulb type.

We have an 07 Essex. Not sure if the taillights are the same as an 06. Replaced with Chevy Trailblazer 02 - 05 taillights. Perfect fit. Requires 2 pairs for the tail light replacement - one pair for each side. $117 eBay

A little pricey, but here is what I was talking about. These are all LED. Several companies make/sell them.
