Televator Stops 1 Foot Up
Our televator stops after going up about 12". It will return back down. The stop is consistently in the same spot. It does not appear to be jamming - just stops.
I attempted to reprogram the limits following the instruction sheet that says to hold down the rocker switch for 5 seconds to get into programming mode. Then press the rocker switch up and release at the right time to program the upper limit. When pressing the rocker the second time nothing happens.
I called the Newmar Dutch Star specialist in Nappanee and they spoke to engineering. Based on my description they have determined the whole televator needs to be replaced (under warranty). That is a fairly big job requiring the cabinet and fireplace to be removed (we special ordered the rig with fireplace instead of jack knife couch). I have to go back to a dealer to get this done.
Unfortunately we are not able to get to the dealer until late January. I was already working on an appointment for other warranty items and 1 year service. We have some trips and Dolphins tailgating (go Tua!) planned over the next 8 weeks and I hate to not have the main TV working. Fortunately we do have the TV in the front as a back-up.
Are there any other tricks or tips that I can try to see if I can get it working in the mean time? Just in case Newmar is mis-diagnosing the problem and solution.

I reviewed my notes on troubleshooting and the only one other than reprogramming is to:
Turn off the 12v (salesman switch) at front door for 5 seconds and back on. Resets the televator controller.

locate the controller behind the tv on the wall. disconnect the power and then connect back and try the procedure below.
Procedure:
1) Connect the motor to the MCDLA-1C via the 6-position connector.
2) Apply power to the system via the 3-position M-N-L connector.
3) Up Position Calibration (Rocker Switch)
a. Press and hold the “UP” rocker switch for 5 seconds and then release (this
activates calibration mode).
b. Press and hold the “UP” rocker switch until the TV is in the desired position.
5 seconds after releasing the “UP” button the position is saved and then
move on to the calibrating the “Down” position.
4) Down Position Calibration (Rocker Switch)
a. Press and hold the “DOWN” rocker switch for 5 seconds and then release
(this activates calibration mode).
b. Press and hold the “DOWN” rocker switch until the TV is in the desired
position. 5 seconds after releasing the “DOWN” button the position is saved
and then you may test the positioning by activating the “UP” and “DOWN”
buttons.
c. Test calibration by simply pressing either “UP or DOWN” button and release.
NOTE: At initial power on, the MCDLA-1C-090 will be in calibration mode. Begin by calibrating
the “UP” position via the appropriate method noted above. The Down position will still need to
be calibrated.

remove the cover on top of the tv. it's held on by springs. You can then lower the tv down and you will see the controller on upper left side behind the tv.

Per the link I posted, cutting the power at the salesman switch also cuts the power to the MCDLA-1C and it’s a lot easier.

Alternatively, you could remove the trim and pull the fireplace out which would allow access to the televator behind, it would probably be pretty tight though

Thanks. Tried that and no progress.

I had a similar problem. The corian trim at the bottom of the TV was catching on the televator tube. Try lowering the televator and pull out slightly on the bottom of the TV and see if it will go down. I removed the trim and repositioned to clear the televator.

I Figured It Out
OP Here. Figured out it was actually jamming. The lifting bar in the center has two stages. As it was raising the bar was touching the Corian counter top and the edge of the second stage would hit and stop after raising about a foot. If I apply a slight pulling pressure it will continue to fully raise.
Looks like some type of adjustment or shimming that I will leave for the dealer to sort out during my final warranty trip after Christmas.
However, I am still concerned that I could not initiate the programming sequence. I was following the procedure in the attached document. I think I found the instructions in these forums. When pushing the button in step 3.b. nothing happens. Maybe the procedure changed for a 2022 model?
