Just upgraded my old Sony with 48” LG OLED, the most difficult part it’s finding the right brackets that will work with 300x200 Installation had to do some modification to the televator to accommodate the new bolt pattern the rest it’s very simple no need to remove couch just the screen behind the televator.

Our televetor TV is a 46” stupid TV. I would like to replace it with a smart TV. I can not find any 46” smart TVs. Only 43”. Dont want to go smaller. You think the 48” will fit?

A tape measure and looking at actual dimensions of the TV you are interested in will answer your question about fitment.

Don't rely on Yeah I think it will fit.

You need to get the measurements of the 48" TV and then measure your space. Also, compare the measurements of the 48 to the measurements of your 46. Because many of the older TV's have a wider frame than the newer ones, the 48 just might be the same size or even smaller than your 46.

How to make a Dumb TV Smart!

I’m interested in this topic as the Sony TVs that Newmar put in our 19 MA don’t allow us to add Apps like Discovery+ to the menu. The Sony only comes with a few Apps. So I have been considering upgrading the Sony’s. We have finally found an affordable way to stream TV that doesn’t involve using CG WiFi.

Unfortunately our MA’s side Windows do NOT open. So access to the back of the TV might involve actually removing the Window. I don’t have a problem with the HD aspects of the Sony’s just an issue that I can’t add additional Apps.

Then I remembered I was using the Amazon Fire Stick on our Guest Bedroom TV in our house which is a very old and small TV. This accessory plugs into any HDMI port but needs a separate power supply. It has a USB plug that can plug into the TV for power.

So now my plan is to purchase two Fire Sticks $50 each on Amazon. This is way easier than trying to replace two TVs. I will now have HD and I can add the Apps of my choice.

Patgreenair- I had my pegboard compartment pre-wired for TV with HDMI cable ran from the bedroom TV.

Happy Trails

I got to the back by moving the televator up and down partially. About 1/2 up worked best. Long arms really helped. Need 2 people. I needed special screw driver bits. I put in a 2" larger TCL, previous Sony programming and picture were bad. Had to route the wires so they did not rub as the went up and down.
