Televator will not move
We have tried to move our televator up and down with the switch, but we are having no luck. We hold it to move up and nothing happens. We have checked the fuse panel and the fuse is good. Any ideas or tricks to make this happen since it is stuck in down position we can't even get to the lifting motor if needed to.
This is on a 2018 Newmar New Aire 3343 coach.

I was wondering how long mine would last. Looks cheep to me. Under the TV bu the floor is a square panel that you can unscrew to get access to the guts. See if any wires are loose. Worth a try. mine is a Jayce, so may not be the same.

On mine I have to hold the switch about a second then release to activate the lift motor in either direction. Just touching & immediately releasing the center neutral switch will not work.
If that doesn't work- take the switch out of the wall & check it with your meter to insure it has power to it & then push it to confirm it's switching power to one side- if it is you have a wire loose at the motor or a bad televator motor.
Happy Trails

Make sure GFI for that side has not tripped. Ours on a 2021 4369 is over the kitchen sink.

I cannot speak to what is in your coach, but on the two coaches I have owned with Televators. The Televoters were 12v. With that in mind. - Check the switch with a multi meter, probably a two person job in ordet to have anough hands.
- If the switch checks out, check to see if yo have 12v power to thes switch.
- If no power find the fuse.
- If the fuse is good check the wiring at the televator. On one of my coaches the antenna and HDMI cables were routed so that the mechanism ripped the wires out of the connections. That could have happened to the power wires.

On my 17DS if you hold the switch up or down the unit will not respond. If you want it to go up you push the upside and release within a second or two and the unit goes up. You want it down, push the down side and release and the unit goes down. If you just hold it nothing happens. Same is true if you give the switch a real quick push/release. Go figure.

Ours failed when the wiring for the motor that moves up and down with the lift got tangled in the gear and stripped the insulation off. There was too much wire so it was fairly easy to cut away the bad part and reattach the wires. I agree that it's probably 12v. Ours has a power supply plugged into 120v but power to the motor is through a wire plugged into the power supply.

The only way to diagnose this is to make access to the mechanism and troubleshoot power availability to the motor and/or hot wire the motor to confirm it hasn’t failed. Unfortunately, this requires a fair amount of tear down to access the mechanism.
You may want to have it diagnosed at your servicing dealer or one of our NIRVC locations.

Great info on the Forum. Before you get too involved, shut off the 12V to the coach, commonly called the "salesman" switch. Wait 30 seconds or so, and turn it back on. Go to the televator switch, and quickly press the "up" and release. As mentioned, you do not hold the button up or down; press and release, do not hold. If that does not work, then go more into your troubleshooting.

We havea 2021 New Aire. You may have checked the fuses on the panel under the driver's seat. However, there are fuses all over the rig including inside the electric bay, in the very back over the engine, in the chassis battery bay and even in the frong on the hydraulic pump. Good luck finding the bad one. I hope you get it worked out.

I have not had this problem but I am interested because I have a 2019 NADP 3343. I have read somewhere on this forum that if you hold the televator switch down for more than 5 seconds it puts it into programming mode. Because of that I'm am very conscious to press and release the switch when I want the TV to go up or down. That's all I know but I'll be watching to see the solution to the problem in case it happens to me sometime down the road. Hopefully it is something simple like a wire has come off or something like that.

Televator
Remember, this is a hotel rolling down the road with lots of bumps and shakes. With that said, in 4-5 years with our coach we have replaced the televator switch once and have found the TV unplugged once. Most likely, if not a fuse, something has come loose. But don't rule out a bad switch, especially if it "feels" a little different. Safe Travels
