The new 4513 floor plan

At 1st glance, I see a lot to like -

Mechanicals:
> no water lines to pivot in/out with the slides (except the dishwasher)
> full wall slide has less weight to move in/out (no fridge, no kitchen)
> the full wall slide opening is better supported - bath wall closer to the opening
> shallow slide out into the patio area

Pantry:
> fixed shelves (presumably) which are more space efficient than the pull-outs
> the primary pantry is taller, and looks like new pantry space above the refrigerator
> 2 cabinets across from the half bath… one is floor to ceiling
> one floor to ceiling cabinet in the bedroom

Half bath:
> easier access with the FWS in
> eliminate the flimsy mid-pivot door, and removed the door handle
> there's finally enough room to maneuver

Front end of coach:
> more window area
> sofa seating directly across from, and centered on the tv
> more isle space between the sofas (slides in)
> better kitchen & refrigerator access with slides in
> fireplace is an option, instead of a jump-thru-the-hoops special
> the ‘elephant in the room’ cooktop is out of the way (and portable?)

Back end:
> the B.I.G. shower
> full-width wardrobe
> larger window in the bedroom
> no awkward side window at the foot of the bed

Issues & other Unavoidables:
> how well is that refrigerator anchored down (in a collision)
> access to the wet bay with FWS out
> with the kitchen slide in, lose 1 fridge door &, 1 sink/under-cabinet door
> no desk/dinette option
> gotta be tall (or have a ladder) to reach the OH cabinets next to the sink

I probably missed something, but overall, some very innovative changes.

Hey Phantom
We talked a bit at Tampa show but it's a bit hard to keep up huh?

So what is the general floorplan of the 4513....it wasn't available in 2016 right?

Bill

Looking at the layout only; seems there is no useable counter space in the kitchen if you want to use the sink and stove.

Do you know if all Newmars have gone away from the odd door used on the half bath?

How do you access the refrigerator when the slides are in travel position?

I'm thinking the 4513 floor plan is new for 2017.

Looking at the layout only; seems there is no useable counter space in the kitchen if you want to use the sink and stove.

Agreed, certainly not like an Entegra kitchen. But, it helps that the cooktop is covered (and removable?). Presumably you'd prepare in that area, then move the finished items to the corner counter area, and use the cooktop. Or, move the cooktop to that corner counter & cook there? (venting?)

Do you know if all Newmars have gone away from the odd door used on the half bath?

Looking over Newmar's "What's new for 2017" publication, there are 6 different floor plans for the 2017 LA & MA. Seems the 4513 & a bunk model have traditionally hinged doors. The other 4 floor plans still use a mid-pivot door at the half bath.

How do you access the refrigerator when the slides are in travel position?

Looking at the floor plan, seems that when the slide is in, you'll be able to open the right hand door but not the left. The biggest downside I see is the freezer door cannot be opened unless the slide is out. So no ice cream while boon docking at Walmart.

Looks like there is still counter between the stove and sink under the OHC.

What happen to the website? It's gone. Or at least the 2017 information is.

I see that. I think it was up as late as yesterday.

Newmar seems determined to keep the 2017 under wraps.
