Yikes is right! If the couch has seat belts, presumably anchored with heavy thru bolts, it seems like a solidly restrained passenger could be sitting on a minimally restrained couch. Doesn't make sense. I wonder if the factory-installed theater seats are installed with #8 wood screws as well.

Brad and Hall in Elkhart did ours and we were very impressed.

Was your theater seats custom made or do you have a model number? We want to do the same upgrade to our coach (2017 DS 4369). TIA

I'm also planning to remove the electric couch recliner bed but replacing with two rocker/swivel/recliners. One a standard the other a 'sleeper'. Haven't seen any theater seating setups I like.
The recliners have the versatility of just needing to be clamped down when driving. When parked, I will be able to move them anywhere within reason pretty easily.
Then going to move the small passengers table over and mount it between the two recliners. Finally, going to add a 47" TV lift/lower cabinet under the big picture window and next to that, a mini dishwasher. Finally, a new floor treatment. Gunna be fun attempting all that myself.

FlaRider - We have the theater seats in our 2020 DS 4081 and love them. I doubt that you can move the seats against the wall. I believe the reclining function requires that extra space. I can't confirm this for a couple of days. If nobody replies to you re this, I will take a look and let you know.

We had our couch replaced with theater seating at Brad and Hall in our 2002 Kountry Star. They did a great job, and the seats are way more comfortable then that old couch was!

After this thread and a lot of investigation, we decided to go with a Villa replacement. We so hate the Flexsteel couch. We decided on the design, fit and material and sent our quote request into Villa. A week or two later, we received the following from Villa:
“ I am sorry, we are currently not taking orders, we are trying to catch up our motorhome manufacturers, please let’s revisit in a few months. ”
:( back to the drawing board.

We ordered new Villa Captain's Chairs for the front from Glastop, Ft. Lauderdale, in January 2021.....we are on the schedule for a possible delivery in September 2021.
We have also ordered Lambright Theater Seating, Tuxedo, IN and expect delivery of those in late October 2021. Bradd & Hall built new cabinets and removed our jack-knife sofa in July. They have done much of our cabinet work and we love their work!

The new theater seats fit perfectly and it is almost a perfect match to the interior. They are very comfortable, full electric recline and nice storage for the remotes and laptop.
Ordered it at the Tampa Supershow in January. Installed early May.
The installer did a great job using heavy thru bolts. He mentioned the couch was factory installed with #8 wood screws in the floor. Yikes.
We bought it from Galstop in Fort Lauderdale and they did removal and installation. Only took a few hours. We were lucky that thier shop was only a few miles from our RV storage making logistics a non-event.
Still have the couch in my warehouse with the ottomans. Practically brand new.

UPDATE: We like our Lambright theater seats so much we are moving them over to our 2022 Dutch Star 4369 when delivered. The gray color matches the 2022 Mirage interior.
Back to Glastop in October to have them reinstall the original couch in the Kountry Star. Glad I procrastinated and still had the couch in storage.

Tigerfan, does your queen sofa sit on top of the 5" rise hidden by the couch? Would love to replace my L couch with just a sleeper sofa but that rise is 5" high and 27" deep, creating an issue with just a simple replacement.

Yes it sits on the 5 inch rise with the back of the sleeper sofa against the televator. My friend has a 2018 DS 4369 with the same set up.
