Thetford SANICON Turbo 700 Series - Obstruction Removal

Seeking help/guidance on best way to check for obstruction and clear it. Thetford SANICON Turbo 700 Series manual shows a pump impeller access cover that supports access and obstruction removal. However, my 2019 Mountain Air "wet bay" has a solid floor. It appears that the only way to get to this, check, and/or remove an obstruction is complete removal of the system to complete this task. Does anyone know of a better method to complete this task. Thanks, I'm a "newbie" on this forum and appreciate your patience

Your MA is a lot newer than mine so I don't specifically know but would be surprised if Newmar put that Sanicon in without access to clean it. Are you sure you are looking at the Sanicon floor? I have no idea how it's installed in yours. Maybe some pictures?
If it was installed that way...I would be looking at fixing it by putting the access cover in where it belongs. Have you tried calling Newmar? If they were supposed to put the access cover in and forgot, I would be asking them for a labor reimbursement...

We just replaced our Sanicon 700 on our 18 LA and if needing to do any service one needs to remove the unit. One could cut a 6 inch. in the the bottom of the floor to get access but would still be hard to remove all screws to work on. Needed to replace some piping to but the new unit it. Did add a extra valve before end of discharge end to make it easier to drain the hose.

When my unit had an obstruction which stopped the impeller for turning, I was able to wack the side of the unit with my fist while the unit was powered on and it cleared the obstruction.

My research also showed that the access panel is at the bottom of the unit. I’ve read that with the right style screwdriver you can remove the panel while it’s still installed, but I did not try this.

You may also be able to use a Reverse Flush Valve Attachment to dislodge the obstruction.

Success

Guys,
Appreciate your insights and recommendations. Ironically, after studying the manual on the Sani-Con, I used a Rino Waste Tank sprayer interface, attaching it to the main discharge line, opening the gray tank discharge valve and running water into the Sani-Con. Then I removed the Rino interface, closed the main discharge valve and attempted to operate both the black and gray lines using the Sani-Con. Success! It operated as designed without the noise. I'm assuming that the obstruction was removed and now the system is working as intended. Thanks again for all your many recommendations. This is again another example of something being added to an RV without the two groups of engineers thinking about maintenance or gaining access.
