Tile protector pads

Has anyone tried to glue a thin carpet to the bottom of the pads to keep the plastic off of he tile?

Mine came from the factory with thin carpet glued to the bottom of the pad.

Any Damage

Is the plastic causing any damage? I purchased 5 of these. Three several months ago and two in the past couple of months and they did not come with carpet. I did however notice the coating flaking off the bottom of the protector onto the tile floor. Let us know what you figure out.

We applied rug tape underneath to stop them from sliding, but didn’t feel we needed the whole thing covered...
