Tip - turn off dash climate control.
Camping for the weekend in South Florida (hot, hot, hot!) and decided to check genset oil. Opened the front and I felt cold air washing down- turns out the outside air vents for the dash a/c were wide open and cool air from the coach was pouring out of them - a surprising amount.
So I went into the coach, turned the ignition to on and then the dash control to "off." That closed those vents. Still a bit of cool air leaking out but not a huge amount. I'd imagine this tip would work for cold weather camping as well.

After the vacuum decays out of the system , it'll open up again . May take days but that actuator is spring loaded, to open.
I do this to stop dust when in the south. Fabricating a cab filter and easier shut off are on the to do list.

Skip,
I added an extra vacuum tank and a check valve. Now mine never leaks down and opens up.
It does make a big difference in the winter if you don't keep those flaps closed. You can feel the cold air coming in the vents when its really cold outside.

I am assuming the gas and diesel units work differently. On my old gas class C I had the same, ford, dash air and this trick worked great. I do not see any corollary function on my DP. Grey beards, what is the verdict? I've looked in my dash air compartment, the same shared with the generator, and don't see anything like the pictures posted.

Pictures posted are of the Evans Tempcon , motor home dash air systems; so your coach ( don't know your manufacturer) may use another type Denso?.
I believe that Denso uses electronic actuators, not vacuum so the outside air door closer may not require any modification to stop air flow; once it's closed.
Currently involved in replacing a common fence at the S&B and converting all the coaches interior florescent lighting to LED; so the cab air filter has taken a back seat for now. Then there's the Zep treatment for the whole coach, vent booster fans for the fridge, and pricing and sourcing new tires . All this and only 3 months before snowbirding ; glad I'm retired , don't know how I ever found time to go to work.
