Tire Minder TPMS

Just Got a TPMS, and am about to install in my 2016 DSDP 40 Footer. I'm wondering where anybody with this system or any TPMS with a booster have installed the 12 Volt Booster. This one has the smallest Alligator clips I've seen, and there is no way I'll get that clamped to the battery. Let me know where you mounted your Booster.

The booster for my Pressure Pro came with a 12 VDC lighter plug so I purchased a 120 VAC to 12 VDC converter and plugged into an outlet in the bedroom. Been Working well for 9 years.

I installed my Tire Minder booster in the house battery compartment. Mine did nor come with any clips, crimped a couple of c clips on the wire and installed it on the battery post.

Thanks, I was trying not to do that because that compartment is metal and will probably block the signal to some degree. I suppose I could swap out the Alligator clamps to bigger ones.

I just got through installing one a couple of weeks ago. The Booster is waterproof and can be installed on the trailer tongue, or right under the trailer at the front end. I actually bought a waterproof plastice work box with a clear cover and mounted it on the trailer "A" arm on the front. I also cut off the alligater clips and put a waterproof switch on the side of the box that I put the booster in, that way the booster can be turned off when not being used. If you want a couple of pics, PM me your email address and I'll send you a couple. I don't feel like processing them to reduce the size of them to be able to post them on here.

I installed mine in the cabinet above the washer- tied into the 12v power that's there for the automatic closet light.

I put mine in the rear closet and tied into the 12volt closet light. Does the job perfectly.

I cut off ends and installed female spade ends and attached them to an open 12volt supply in the half bath electrical panel .

I actually put mine in my toad - clamp it into an iPhone holder and plug into my blue ox patriot braking unit's 12v auxiliary outlet. My TPMS is a TST brand system, and I purchased their booster.

Half Bath electrical panel works great, 12v power available right there and an easy mount. Plus it's about midway the length of the coach.

Thats a great idea! It would be one less thing that I'd have to hook up when setting up the toad. Another place might be the rear closet. There is some sort of electrical box in the area with the rear closet shoe rack. Does anyone know if it's 12v or 120v?

Tire Minder recommended the repeater be placed near the rear bumper on the outside of the coach. I ran the wiring to the battery box and butt connected it to wires hot all the time. Originally the repeater was mounted in the back closet where it worked intermittently. Moving it to the rear bumper might have helped but it still is not working consistently. Possibly there are some issues with the wheel sensors?

We ended up with two. One is hard wired into our rear closet the other into the 1/2 bath panel.

I put my tireminder booster in an upper bedroom cabinet. Spliced into the 12v line to the cabinet light. This put it midway between the MH front wheel sender and the toads rear one. Workinging fine.
