Tire pressure

Ya I know, another question about tire pressures.

On a tag axle coach, how do you determine the tire pressure for the drive axle?

I know all about 4 corner weighing and using the tire pressure charts. I am wondering if I would take just the weight on the drive axle and figure out pressures according to the chart or do I add tag weight + drive weight to determine the correct tire pressure?

The drive axle weight by itself is used to determine pressure for that axle. On the tire charts you use the column for dual tires.

On my coach it ends up being that the pressure needed for tag and drive are close enough that I went with the higher pressure of the drive for both, and set them all to 95 psi.

I think you are confused about 4 corner weighing. On a tag axle coach you actually weigh all 6 positions, so you get separate weights for the drive wheels and the tag wheels. The chassis is normally setup so that the weight on the tag is 50% of the weight on the drive. You end up with the same pressure in the tag tires as the drive tires as Redbaron points out. Mine are all at 75psi.

Thanks Algoma, I didn't know about the 50% set up. That helps also.
