To winterize or not?
First year owner of 2015 DS. I live in Sioux Falls, SD and store my DS in a non-heated, non-insulated garage. I do have a 15A outlet. Planning on heading to AZ at end of Dec for the winter. Is there a way to keep the DS from freezing on 15A or am I better off winterizing for a month or 2? I do have tank heater pads but not sure how much power they draw? Could I (should I?) run the Oasis furnace set at 50deg to keep coach from freezing up? Thanks

winterize.....
if there is that stretch where you are not using it, it's just less to be concerned about...

I wouldn’t run Oasis in garage. I think I would play it safe and winterize it. Grew up in SD and know how cold it can get and how quickly it can change.

The other thing to keep in mind is the possibility of losing electric power during a cold snap. If you haven't winterized, you'd better be able to fire the generator and keep it running for the duration.

$20 worth of the pink stuff & an hour or so of your time vs fretting over temps/being glued to the weather channel or having something major freeze & cause you $$$$$$ later.
Spend a little now or a lot later is a gamble only you can decide is worth taking.

Thanks all. Looks like winterizing is the way to go. Next year, I’ll just have to head south earlier but this “work thing” still gets in the way. Safe travels!!

Not sure if this is an option but can you get your rig down to AZ now and put it in storage there till you arrive? Then you won't have to winterize and dewinterize.

I would probably winterize. Not knowing what the temps will be when you fire it up to head to warm temps I would even have an anti-gel already in my fuel tank also.

For us new to diesel (soon to be anyway) what is anti-gel, I think in can figure out what it does, but is an additive?
