Toilet Question

im looking to replace my 8 year old thetford plastic toilet with a china one. i almost ordered one today until i saw that the wall to center mounting bolt is 11". i only have 9" wall to bolt. has anyone found one that does 9 inch center?

My Thetford is mounted 10 inches from wall to mounting studs and there is a
1- 1/4 inch space from wall to china housing.

Which MODEL would that happen to be

Thetford Aqua Magic II they show the stud offset as 9.5 inches. Their manual illustration shows a gap between the wall and ceramic bowl. If my mounting studs was at 9" I would have no gap . The tubing on the rear does not stick out beyond the ceramic bowl.

This was a replacement , to replace the identical toilet. I was chasing a sewer odor for months, changed the wax ring 3 times thinking it was the problem. Next I thought it was the toilet itself, bought a new one and odor did not go away. Finally I discovered the vent pipe dropped down into the black water tank. The top of this pipe was not glued or a poor glue joint and separated releasing sewer odor into my bathroom enclosure. Re-inserted,,, problem solved.

yes i get that but an 11" wall to mount wont work, neither will a 10" mount work. is there some kind of adjustment that will offset the mount hole discrepancy? i know residential toilets and if it dont fit you dont sit

If you have access to the underside piping there is an offset fitting you can install. A very common fitting when doing renovations. Check them out in HD or Lowes.
