Toliet Flushing Errors

I believe that I read about someone else having this problem and fix but canít seem to get the thread come in search.

I have a Macerator 8700 series toilet in my 2017 Ventana LE 4037 mid bath. The back bath toilet is functioning properly and the tanks are empty. The mid bath toilet panel has a steady green light and flashing yellow light and when either button is pushed it wonít add water nor will it flush. I can pour additional liquid into the toilet bowl and still will not flush. When I shut off the ďSales Man SwitchĒ and turn back on the toilet will flush but still wonít respond to any of the buttons either flushing or adding addition liquid. The yellow light is still flashing. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Just a guess...if the rear toilet is working OK maybe the switch in the half bath is defective. Try changing out the switch in the rear bath for the one in the half bath and see if that works.

I've had a switch go bad before.

Wall panel should have 2 lighted indicators ----one of which uses 2 colors

One is the GREEN which indicates DC Power is ON
Other one uses Amber & Red----
Amber indicates waste tank is 3/4 full (75%) ---indication ONLY (Should NOT interupt toilet functions)
Red indicates waste tank is FULL (100%) indication AND shuts off DC to toilet so it can not flush and overflow black tank

Amber blinking/no toilet functions unless you drop DC and then return DC power-----control module is malfucntioning

Pg 56 Item #21 OR Pg 57 Item #24 (SAME Part number)

Bingo!! Swapped the switch panels from the back bathroom to the mid bath and the mid bath toilet started worked properly. The switch panel from the mid bath displayed the same problems I was having in the mid bath in he rear bath. Problem solved!!

Little inspection and looks like the panel is shorted out. Here is the pic and you can on the left side bottom there are two traces that are corroded and short between the two traces. What would you sure to clean up these traces without damaging the circuit board?

Akdare has a good suggestion. If the material between the traces is not removed with that method you could use an exacto blade to carefully remove the material between the traces. Once you have the "short" removed test to see if it the control panel is functional. If it is you may want to coat the traces with some clear nail polish or a similar material to provide some environmental protection to the traces.

Don't overlook the what caused to problem. You have moisture coming through the opening where the wire comes through the wall. Not a leak, just condensation over time and temperature changes. Stuff some more insulation in the hole to reduce air flow.

Got it o work sometimes, looks like I got break somewhere in one the traces. As long you push very lightly it works but push little to hard it goes into error mode and you have to shut down 12 volt power to reset. Called Newmar and they want 324.00 plus shipping. Found the installation kit for 225.00 and just the switch alone for 118.00. Found a kind gentleman on the forums that had used one that gave me good deal on it.
Yep, I will take cti2000 advice and try seal it up.

Iíve fixed many a circuit board like that. You could use an awl or even a screwdriver blade to just scrape the area between the traces away. Then take a piece of stranded wire, remove all of the insulation, and solder a single strand to make the trace connection. Or use a whole piece of wire if you have the room.

Those bottom races are about 1/64th of inch apart and they way above my skill level. I talk to a local repair shop and they quoted me more than I purchased the used one for.
I took a good look at the one in our second bathroom and it also shows signs of corrosion Iím going to coat both of them with some clear fingernail polish. I have only owned the coach for 2 months so I donít know the history of the coach.
