Towed turn signal

We have a2014 Ventana 4036 and tow a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. A month ago we found the left turn signal on the tow, when hooked up to the moterhome did not work, but worked when not hooked up. All our hook up stuff is Blue Ox. Ordered a new electric , 7to 6, cord. Hooked up this am for trip from Cody to Madora,ND. Still no left turn on tow. Help!!..... Thanks.....

Are you using the towed's signal light bulb, or a separate one (user installed) for your turn signal? Can you check the six wire connector to see if the turn signal is coming through. I had one one time that the signal was not getting through the plug. Sometimes those plugs can short or in my case open the signal.

Check your fuse there is a separate fuse for each turn signal. Fuse box by left front tire.

If your using diodes, check where they are spliced into your wiring.
I had one come loose at the connector last summer and it acted the same as yours.
Easy fix.

You've been given good advice by everyone. The first thing you need to do is check for power coming through your cord to the toad. If you don't have power coming through then it's a problem in the MH. If power is coming through then it's a problem in the toad. You first need to determine how your toad was set up. Was it set up using the car's original turn signal bulb, or did they drill the light fixture and add another bulb separate from the car's original wiring. If they added a separate bulb your problem could be as simple as a burnt out bulb. If you don't know which way it's set up you can check it out by looking at your right side turn signal since it's still working. Turn the car's (using car turn signal switch) right side turn signal on and look to see where in the light you see the bulb flashing. Now turn the MH right turn signal on and see if the same bulb is flashing or if a bulb in another location in the light is flashing. If it's not flashing the same bulb then they added another light to your fixture. In which case you might just have a burnt out bulb. If the same bulb is used for both then you don't have a bulb problem since it works when driving the car. Then you have to trace the wiring and find a bad diode or bad wire connection.

You might try gently tapping the power plug into the receptacle with a small hammer or wrench. From time to time mine failed to seat properly, resulting in intermittent lights in the toad. Tapping the connector to ensure it is fully seated solved the problem for me.

We have an older, smaller Ventana, but our fuse box for the tow connection is in front of the right rear tire. Recently we had all the lights but the right brake light work on a trailer being towed behind the Ventana. It was a 7.5 amp fuse on the RV.
