We are selling our ventana 2016 3709 and buyer had questions about how much weight can be towed. I see that there is a flat tow weight listed as 10,000 and a trailer wright of 5,000 he wants to tow an enclosed trailer with car weight about 7800 he said trailer has braking system in it like a car would. Can he tow this amount weight not sure how that would differ from a car.

It's the hitch weight. Flat tow us just you pulling a load with a rope. Trailer is pulling the same load while having to carry 15% of the weight. I'd tell the buyer to do his own research. Maybe suggest a weight distributing hitch.
I will say NO! The towing capacity is only 5000 lbs. according to Newmar's original specs. That means the hitch is only rated at 5K. I am not sure where you read you could flat tow 10k but it's not in any Newmar publication I could find. https://www.rvusa.com/rv-guide/2016-...n-3709-tr27367
