Just as a point of information, I’m pretty sure it’s the same hitch on all those series of Freightliner chassis, based on personal close up inspection. Some get a 5k sticker, some get a 10k sticker.

I have to wonder how much of it is a marketing decision to differentiate between the Ventana and the VLE.

My .02 I’d want a bigger engine in that size coach. But if fuel economy and price were bigger factors in my decision... then maybe.

Wouldn't any regular Ventana (non LE) that is a 40' model have the tag axle and 400hp Cummins? If so I am thinking they would also have a 15,000 tow capacity and not a 10,000.

Just to close out the thread. I purchased 2017 Newmar Ventana LE 4037 and have just finished about 1000 miles on it. We keep our Grand Cherokee that with our Cricket golf cart weighed in over 5,000 pounds which exceeded the coach 5,000-pound towing capacity. We did purchase a 2018 Ford Edge with 3.5 which weight in at 4080 and still leaves capacity for our Cricket golf cart of 305 pounds.
