Toyo Tires on a DS

We are considering mounting Toyo M144 on our DS. Anybody done this? Any difference in ride or handling?

Thanks

We've have them on our 4318, NIRVC put them on when we purchased it last May. It's our first MH so I have nothing to compare to. The ride is excellent and we have had no issues with them. We've put about 8000 miles on them all together.

Tomorrow, 6/26/2020, We will have (2) 315x80x22.5 Toyos put on the front of our coach. They are usually rated very good. Guess we both will find out. We have been a strong supporter of Hankooks in the past but my supplier/installer has been running into trouble finding our size.

Had Toyos on my last coach and was pleased with their performance. One thing to note, however. They tend to emit an odor not unlike horse manure for a while. Thought it was just some unusual smell surrounding the coach, but others had mentioned it when they installed Toyos. Odd, but it eventually faded.

I put 8 of them on last year. Have almost 6 thousand miles on them. Very pleased, steering is much easier and less noise. I had read about the smell before purchasing but I never did notice it.

Just put on two 315 80R 22.5 Toyo 144 on the front, replacing 295 80R 22.5 Goodyear 670. Much better ride, 20 ply versus 16 ply enables lower pressure. Unit is kept in garage, haven't smelled anything different. Highly recommend Toyo, been using them for years without a problem.

TOYO Tires

I am considering Toyo tires soon. These: Toyo M153 315/80R22.5 L20
The M153s have higher weight carrying capacity than the M144s.
They may not ride as well, but for me, the extra weight capacity gives me a better piece of mind.
So far, the best price I have found is here:

Still looking.

Toyos are a Japanese tire, but they have a USA mfg plant. I just put 4 Toyos on my 2016 Prius which is shortly to become a car dolly toad. Don't have Toyos on my coach but I do have 6 Samson tires, which is a Chinese tire. Other than picking up a nail in a right rear tire, zero issues and I've been satisfied. The Samsons replaced Michelins, and by the by, Michelin is building tires in China now! I think Toyos are a good choice!

I am going to need to replace tires on my 16DSDP 4369 soon. I have the Michelins now and have no experience with any other tires. I am not unhappy with the Michelins but would like feedback and alternatives for other tires. I am a Michelin tire guy on my vehicles, I have had great performance with them. Since we full time we are heavy and I have to run 125lbs on the front. The M153 Toyo is a higher rated tire and I could run 110-115 on the front and hopefully soften up the bumps.

Replaced my 6 with Toyo. The ride well but do smell. And cheaper than Michelin.

Toyos

Next week putting 8 new 305/70R22.5 M-144's on. Odd size, only about 3 companies make them that I would use (Mich, TOYO, continental). About 1/3 less than Mich XRVs. XRV's are just 6 years old, weather checking. Mich lady said they should be good for 7 years. Local Mich place that could inspect them for potential adjustment said that at that age the potential adjustment would be very minor.

Let us all know how you like them, I will be buying new tires also and looking at Toyo M144-M153.

Can you share the cost? I have been quoted $5450 and $4840 here in Phoenix, and have 2 shops left to give me their pricing.
